Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Khunapapdeelert, Director of the Energy Research and Development Institute – Nakornping, CMU, Invited to Speak on the Role of Hydrogen in Climate Change at the Green Hydrogen Seminar Hosted by IEEE Power & Energy Society (Thailand), NSTDA, and Hydrogen Thailand Association
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Khunapapdeelert, Director of the Energy Research and Development Institute – Nakornping, Chiang Mai University, has been invited to deliver a lecture on the “Role of Hydrogen in Climate Change.” This topic is part of a sub-topic covering the technology of hydrogen storage, compression, and transportation in the academic seminar course titled “Green Hydrogen: Technology, Production, Storage, Transportation, Design, Infrastructure and Applications.” The seminar is hosted by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (Thailand) in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Hydrogen Thailand Association. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.
Green Hydrogen, an alternative clean fuel, plays a crucial role in achieving carbon dioxide reduction targets. As a promising energy source for the future, it supports the global effort to reach net-zero emissions within the next few decades. Green Hydrogen offers a sustainable alternative to traditional energy sources with high combustion efficiency and environmental friendliness. Its benefits include being a clean energy source that does not emit greenhouse gases, does not cause air pollution, and can be used in fuel cells for electricity production. This technology is under development and is expected to be widely adopted in the future, helping Thailand achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2065-2070.
