Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Khunapapdeelert, Director of the Energy Research and Development Institute – Nakornping, Chiang Mai University (ERDI-CMU), welcomed Dr. Atipong Nantaphan and the delegation from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for a study visit. The visit focused on the research project titled “Study on the Production of Calcium Carbonate from FGD Gypsum Combined with Carbon Dioxide Capture.”
The aim of the visit was to enhance the research knowledge of the personnel at Mae Moh Power Plant and to establish connections with future carbon dioxide capture research by EGAT. The event included presentations on the research findings and a tour of the prototype system for producing calcium carbonate from FGD gypsum. The visit took place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the ERDI-Nakornping building.
